Our claims process

Accidents can be upsetting, but support is available when you need to make a claim. RideSure claims are handled by Pen Underwriting Ireland Limited, trading as Pen Ireland.

Here’s what to do if you need to make a claim.

Step 1. Contact Pen Ireland

Let Pen Ireland know what happened as soon as you can — even if you’re not planning to make a claim right away. Reporting the incident early helps ensure your claim is handled correctly from the beginning.

Step 2. Get support

One of Pen Ireland’s experienced claims handlers will guide you through what comes next. They’ll help gather the right details and explain the next steps clearly.

Step 3. Get back on track

Once the details have been collected, Pen Ireland will begin processing your claim. When a settlement is agreed, they’ll help you get back on the road as quickly as possible.

What you will need when making a claim

  • Your policy number
  • Vehicle registration of all vehicles involved
  • Date and time of the accident
  • Location of the accident
  • Witness details (if any)
  • Third Party details (name, address, licence)
  • Gardaí reference number (if they attended)
  • Any photos or videos of all vehicles involved
